National Essay Competition

This is an excellent opportunity to explore your interest in oncology in more depth and to demonstrate your commitment to the specialty. Medical students and junior doctors across the UK are invited to write 800-1000 words (excluding references) on the following theme:

"Which area of cancer research should receive more funding in the next 5 years and why?"

Essays will be marked by doctors working in medical, clinical, surgical or interventional oncology and answers can relate to any of these specialities. Winners will receive a certificate from BONUS and an Amazon voucher. The winning essay and runner ups will be posted on our website.

Please ensure that your essay conforms to the following format:

• Font size 12
• Double spaced
• Harvard or Vancouver style referencing
