About the conference.

A molecule becomes a medicine. A hypothesis becomes a trial. A finding in the laboratory becomes a decision at the bedside.

The difference between discovery and patient care is vast, and it is where oncology is won or lost. BONUS 2026 asks how that distance is crossed; what accelerates translation, what obstructs it, and what the next generation of clinicians should understand about getting science into practice.

This programme spans three keynote addresses, student oral presentations, a society showcase, and an interactive workshop on building a research career. Attendance is online, free, and open to medical students and early-career doctors.

Certificates of attendance will be issued to all participants. Oral presenters will receive separate recognition.

How to get into research.

Most careers in research do not begin with a plan. They begin with a question. And someone willing to help you chase the answer.

Our afternoon workshop will cover the practical side of getting started: where to find opportunities, how to approach a supervisor, and what a strong early portfolio actually looks like. Open to students at any stage.

The work starts somewhere.
Usually in a room of people who care enough to show up.
