About the event
Dr Kroopa Joshi is a Consultant Medical Oncologist specialising in the treatment of thoracic cancers. She graduated with a Distinction from Imperial College School of Medicine in 2008 and completed specialist training in Medical Oncology at The Royal Marsden Hospital, London. In 2014, Dr Joshi received a Sam Keen Foundation fellowship and obtained a PhD in Cancer Immunology in Professor Sergio Quezada’s laboratory at UCL Cancer Institute, focusing on the TCR repertoire and immune checkpoint landscape in solid cancers with a high mutational load.
Her research has led to extensive publications in high-impact journals, including first-author publications inNature Medicine and The Journal of Experimental Medicine and co-author articles in Cancer Cell, Nature, Immunity amongst others. She has delivered oral presentations at major international conferences, including ASCO and ESMO Immuno-Oncology, reflecting international recognition of her work. Her achievements have been recognised with several awards, including the McElwain Prize for scientific researchfrom the Association of Cancer Physicians (ACP).
